How to Delete Temporary Internet Files
Computers create temporary files whilst displaying your information. These are still on this machine until you actively delete them.
Follow the deletion instructions for the browser you are currently using below:

Internet Explorer Mozilla Firefox Safari
Internet Explorer 7

  1. Go to Tools... in the top right corner of the window
  2. Under Browsing History, click Delete...
  3. At the bottom of the dialog box, click Delete All...
  4. Click Yes to confirm

Internet Explorer 6
  1. Go to Tools
  2. Internet Options...
  3. Under Temporary Internet Files, click on Delete Cookies and Delete Files. Click OK to each prompt.

Firefox 1.5 onwards

  1. Click on Tools, and select Clear Private Data....
  2. The Clear Private Data window will open. Make sure all available options on the Clear Private Data window are checked and click the Clear Private Data Now button.

Safari (Apple Macintosh)

  1. Click on Safari on the menu bar and then Reset Safari
  2. Make sure all of the boxes are checked and then click on Reset

Safari (Windows)

  1. Click on Edit and then Reset Safari...
  2. Make sure all of the boxes are checked and then click on Reset



If you have been using Sensitive Information
and discover that the system prevents you from deleting temporary files
a) Ensure the manager/owner of the PC is made aware
b) Ensure your own management chain is informed
c) Do not use this location again to view sensitive information
d) Change any passwords that you used during the session when you return to a secure location
